The Department of Physics at Stockholm University opens a position as Professor of Cosmoparticle Physics. The successful candidate is expected to become the next Director of the Oskar Klein Centre (OKC).
 
The Department of Physics supports a broad range of basic research in experimental and theoretical physics. The Department is part of the AlbaNova University Center, which also houses the Department of Astronomy, the Physics Departments at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and the Nordic Center for Theoretical Physics (Nordita).
 
The Department of Physics is the host of the Oskar Klein Centre for Cosmoparticle Physics (OKC). The OKC is a Centre of Excellence, supported by the Swedish Research Council. OKC comprises more than 100 researchers from the Department of Physics and from the Department of Astronomy at Stockholm University and from the Department of Physics at KTH. In OKC theorists, phenomenologists and experimentalists involved in world-class experimental and observational facilities focus on questions relating to the dark energy and dark matter of the Universe and the physics of compact objects, such as supernovae, gamma-ray bursts and black holes.
